Adopt A Park
The Adopt A Park program allows groups of five or more volunteers to adopt a section of a North Charleston park. Through this program, businesses, park users, and community groups can take an active role in protecting and enhancing neighborhood parks within the City of North Charleston!

Free Litter Cleanup Kits
KNCB provides free litter cleanup kits to community volunteers who organize their own community cleanup. Some cleanup supplies are limited and are distributed on a first come, first served basis. Thank you to Keep America Beautiful and GLAD for providing trash bags for these cleanup kits!

Litter League
Through the Litter League program, groups of 10 volunteers challenge each other to see who can pick up the most trash in a City park within a one hour period. The groups that picks up the most trash is crowned the Litter League Champions! Want to participate? Click below to learn more!

Gardening 101
Gardening 101 is a monthly, free educational series hosted by KNCB. Previous topics include seed harvesting, mushroom cultivation, tree basics, and soil quality.

Group Volunteer Projects
KNCB staff will help you organize a beautification or cleanup event for your group in a public park. This is a great team building project for your group that allows your team to work together to make our community beautiful through volunteer service. Contact us to set up an event!

Great American Cleanup
KNCB is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and participates in the annual Great American Cleanup from March until June. In 2023, we celebrate the 25th annual Great American Cleanup from March 21 to June 22. Click below to request a cleanup kit and get involved!

Park Beautification
KNCB completes cleanup and beautification projects in parks throughout North Charleston including Charleston Farms, Felix Pinckney, Ferndale, Ingevity-WestRock Park, Palmetto Gardens, Northwoods Park, Oak Terrace Preserve, Park Circle Ceramics, and Park Circle.

Weekly Volunteer Workdays
KNCB holds weekly volunteer workdays each Wednesday. Volunteers work at KNCB’s project sites, pack supplies for upcoming programs, and help in the KNCB office. The workday schedule varies depending on the weather and tasks to complete each week. Visit our Volunteer page to learn more!
